I had read many good things about the various Lovecraft-inspired comics and graphic novels currently available, and after reading a couple of great adaptions of The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath and The Shadow out of Time, I decided to borrow this from my local library. The paperback collection contains the two-issue The Courtyard and the four-issue Neonomicon.
Here’s part three of my review collection of the complete H.P. Lovecraft. As stated in part one, I’d planned to base my reading order on the Wordsworth Tales of Mystery and the Supernatural editions. With this post, I have now read the contents of the first volume from the Wordsworth collections.
It looks like my plan of reading the (almost) complete fiction of Lovecraft over the next few months is a pretty tall order. I’d planned to read a few more, maybe even finish Volume I before I made another post, but I’m going away on holiday next week and don’t imagine I will spent any time catching up on any weird Lovecraftian stories, so I’ll leave this here for now and resume when I’m back from my trip.
Over the past few years I’ve managed to pick up an almost-complete collection of H.P. Lovecraft’s fiction in the Wordsworth “Tales of Mystery and the Supernatural” editions. These are affordable paperback editions of classic horror, suspense and science fiction stories priced at around £2.99 each, regardless of the page count.
